Industrial Parkway & W.160th Street • Project Update |
||
Resurfacing Project Begins This Month Rob Mavec, Commissioner of Traffic Engineering reports that major sections of Industrial Parkway and West 160th will undergo a mill-and fill this month. Approximately 3,000 linear feet of Industrial Parkway (both eastbound and westbound lanes) and approx. 3221 linear feet of West 160th (both lanes) will be repaired later this month. Work could begin as early as this week. Crews will be removing the top 2-inch layer of asphalt and replacing with new topcoat. We also learned that Manufacturing Road is scheduled for a sewer re-lining that is also scheduled to commence this month. We are trying to confirm whether the scope for that project will include resurfacing of the street upon completion of sewer work. Please join us in offering a big THANK YOU to Council President Martin Sweeney and City administration for responding so quickly to stakeholder concerns raised in May and committing approx. $172,000 to address roadway conditions in the industrial corridor.
