Board of Directors

Where is an organization without strong volunteer leadership? The WIRE-Net Board comprises people from industry and the community. They embrace the mission of the organization, and they work tirelessly through a committee structure to set the course and ensure attainment of specific goals.

Each year, five Directors are elected at-large by the membership, and up to ten are appointed by the Board. An Executive Committee, headed by the Board Chair, oversees the work of the following committees

The Executive Committee provides direction for the organization between meetings of the full Board.

Membership Committee: Mary Beth Holdford, Chair. Staff liaison: Mark Pinto
The Membership Committee supports the member retention, member-to-member mixers and new member recruitment efforts of the organization, and meets as needed.

Finance Committee: Larry Fulton, Treasurer. Staff liaison: John Tubbs
The Finance Committee represents the Board and provides financial oversight of WIRE-Net’s finances, ensuring that funds are used to support the mission, and that commitments to funders are honored.

Fund Development Committee: Robert Carpenter, Chair. Staff liaison: Julie King
The Fund Development Committee provides leadership and volunteer energy for the Annual Fund Campaign and Special Celebration Events.

Governance Committee: Bruce Waterhouse, Chair. Staff liaison: Julie King
The Governance Committee assists and advises the Board in the areas of nomination and advancement of the Board and executive officers, risk management and corporate governance.

Program Committees provide direction, oversight and serve as potential “beta test sites” for new initiatives. Active committees and their leadership include:

Employment & Training: Annette Dockus, Chair. Identifies workforce issues, including un-met training needs, for which WN can provide resources. Reviews recommendations for programs from subject matter to program materials as well as strategies for marketing training programs. Staff liaison: Michael Hoag

Manufacturing Assistance: Steve Craig, Chair. Provides feedback on current programs and input on new programs, workshops, & services to assist company leaders to improve their operations, sales, product development, supply chain, and profits. Staff liaison: Ty Haines

Redevelopment: Don Dzurec, Chair. This committee oversees WIRE-Net's site assembly, redevelopment and infrastructure investment projects. Staff liaison: Michael Hoag.

Wind: William Brake, Chair. This committee oversees WIRE-Net's GLWN initiative. Staff liaison: Ed Weston
