Gotta Groove Records

The majority of start-ups fail, and a manufacturing start-up brings its own unique set of challenges, particularly when the equipment used in the manufacturing process is over 40 years old and the local workforce pool has no experience in the process. Hear Gotta Groove Records Founder, Vince Slusarz, discuss the impetus behind the business, the bumps on the road to profitability, and the hurdles that must be reached to achieve the next stage of growth.

About Our Speaker

Gotta Groove Records (GGR) opened up in 2009, and was the first new pressing plant to open in the United States in decades. Through the course of GGR's first five years of operations, it has become the first completely vertically integrated vinyl manufacturing and distribution operation anywhere in the world and the artist's preferred record pressing plant.

Vince Slusarz is the founder of GGR, a vinyl pressing plant located in Cleveland's Tyler Village complex. Prior to establishing GGR in 2009, Slusarz spent nearly 25 years at Kinetico Incorporated, a manufacturer of water processing equipment. He held various positions with Kinetico, including General Counsel, Vice President of Manufacturing, and Chief Operating Officer. He is a graduate of Bowling Green State University and Case Western Reserve University of Law.

"A lot of friends and clients ask me to recommend vinyl pressing plants in the USA-the first name I give them is Gotta Groove Records in Cleveland. They do amazing work and their customer service is probably the best in the country. Check them out if you are in the market for a vinyl release."
