Plant Tour: Orlando Baking Company

Old World Baking, Cutting Edge Creativity

How does a 145-year-old company stay true to its roots while still being state-of-the-art? Guistino Orlando founded the original Orlando Baking Company in 1872 and moved the company to Cleveland in 1904. How times have changed—and not. Equipped with multiple production lines, today's Orlando Baking Company boasts a 200,000 square-foot bakery which uses the most modern baking equipment available to create traditional European taste and consistency. During this tour, you will have a unique opportunity to see nine production lines and six ovens designed to accommodate product diversity and consistency while maintaining strict safety and quality standards. By combining state-of-the-art technology with the finest ingredients, Orlando has been able to expand and is now making over 250 varieties and is on tables across America while still maintaining their Cleveland roots and Old World quality.

"We stay true to our tradition with our classic breads, but at the same time, we also want to be innovative and keep on doing everything that has kept us going throughout the years."
