Learners Groups

Take a “deep dive” into a range of manufacturing/business topics of your choice, brainstorm ways to improve your business, and visit other facilities to critique operations and see best practices. Meet monthly for up to twelve months with a small group of local companies and get low-cost, peer-to-peer expert advice and ideas that you can implement immediately at your own shop. Each session is conducted at a host company, and includes an “expert presentation” on a topic of the group’s choice, a discussion of how all the participating companies manage that topic, as well as a tour of the host facility for an open assessment of their operations. Groups are facilitated by WIRE-Net’s 25-year manufacturing/business professional with extensive experience in all facets of running your operation. Prior topics have included manufacturing basics, lean manufacturing, sustainability, and warehouse and distribution. If you have an idea for a topic, contact Ty Haines.
