NEOCAM: Working for You 

In an effort to reverse the economic hardships facing many U.S.-based manufacturers,

WIRE-Net and other local industry groups have joined forces to create NEOCAM – the Northeast Ohio Campaign for American Manufacturing.

This diverse coalition represents nearly 800 firms and more than 30,000 employees in Northeast Ohio, working together to promote policies that enhance the competitiveness of American-based manufacturing. Among NEOCAM’s earliest successes has been a formal resolution of support for American Manufacturing passed by the Cleveland City Council.

The NEOCAM Agenda Includes:

• Urging the Federal Government to take action against currency manipulation policies that create an unfair trade advantage for some Asian nations. 

• Encouraging domestic production through the repeal of tax breaks for offshore manufacturing.  

• Supporting restored funding for the Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) program, which delivers important business support to U.S. companies.
