On Thursday, October 8, 2009, WIRE-Net will present a cost reduction forum to help you begin to turn over those stones. Three cost-reduction practitioners will be on hand to present their individual approach to helping you to reduce costs. Michael Gagner, Turning Point Enterprises, Inc. Improving Process Flexibility Improving manufacturing process flexibility is one increasingly successful way to survive and prosper in the new economy-with the uncertainty of future product demand. Most of us are no longer blessed with large volume, standard orders. We will be showcasing one local company that is doing a great job of meeting today's demands. AME Kentucky 2009: Journey to Greatness In 2009, manufacturers are confronted with the most competitive global marketplace in the history of human commerce. Within the new economic climate, as in every crisis, there are the makings of incredible success - or, of course, dramatic failure. We choose success. The Association for Manufacturing Excellence and the world's leading manufacturers are returning to Covington, Kentucky, where the AME started 25 years ago, with only 100 innovators around the table. Last year, AME Toronto 2008 hosted over 2,500 Lean leaders from 38 countries, offering insights to transform your business and compete in the new global economy. Over ninety percent of people attending the Toronto Conference reported they returned to their shop floor with a highly valuable lesson that would make a difference to their bottom line.
