Making It Here: Building our Next Generation Supply Chain is a unique forum for openly discussing the biggest supply chain challenges, hearing what's working and why, and adding your voice to the discussion. WIRE-Net continues to lead and expand its New Markets Initiative with the strong support of MAGNET. With just a few months having passed since the program's kickoff in March, here a few highlights: 18 matching requests from OEM or top Tier Buyers have been received. Eight are complete with connections to about 16 potential suppliers. Over 350 manufacturers are now in the multi-market database that Ohio University has expanded from the wind turbine supply chain. Manufacturers' Forecast Reveals Continued Optimism |

|
WIRE-Net's second Manufacturing Outlook survey of 2011 echoes the optimism expressed at the beginning of 2011, when over half projected adding new employees in 2011. In the second quarter, 60% report adding to their workforce, and 57% project continued employment growth in the balance of 2011. 71% are now projecting sales growth of 5% or better, up slightly from 66% in January. At WIRE-Net's Annual Meeting, three new Board members were recognized for their commitment to serving the organization in a leadership role. Bob Carpenter will serve the Board and WIRE-Net as Fund Development Committee Chair. Larry Fulton will serve as both Treasurer and Finance Committee Chair. Mary Beth Holdford will serve WIRE-Net and the Board as Membership Committee Chair. Read more about these new Board members.
