Infrastructure Planning/Advocacy
Public investment in infrastructure is essential to retaining and growing a healthy tax and employment base, and provides growth opportunities for our industrial sector in the core city. WIRE-Net identifies the critical needs and organizes with its business stakeholders and public partners to secure the funding to upgrade roadways and bridges to improve accessibility for industrial transportation. Since 2002, WIRE-Net helped secure $35 million in public infrastructure investment to support ten major projects impacting 348 firms. Supporting WIRE-Net's urban redevelopment effort will enable us to match sites and infrastructure to support innovating manufacturing firms.

Land/Building Redevelopment
Helping firms in Cleveland grow means also helping them find adequate modern space for growth. WIRE-Net's Industrial Redevelopment approach complements our Manufacturing Assistance by promoting acquisition and assembly of land-buildings within industrial corridors, encouraging private reinvestment, and creating quality spaces for growing firms.
