Role with WIRE-Net Anne is responsible for maintenance of WIRE-Net’s website, contact management database, computer network, hardware & software support, and administrative staff. She is the point of contact for event enrollments and website questions. Anne also provides some technical support directly to members who do not have internal IT departments. Background Anne came to WIRE-Net in January 2002 after serving as Operations Manager for New Horizons Computer Learning Center. There she was responsible for scheduling resources and managing the customer service, instructor, and information technology departments. At the beginning of her tenure with New Horizons, she served as an instructor teaching courses in Microsoft Office products. She graduated from Allegheny College in 1993 with a BA in Psychology and the Russian language. Now her intellectual pursuits revolve around computer software, networking, and database & website development. Her software experience includes Microsoft Office (Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Outlook), Lotus Notes, Corel WordPerfect, Trend NeaTSuite, QuickBooks, FrontPage, PageMaker, Windows Server 2003, Small Business Server, and Windows 95, 98, NT, Me, 2000, XP, & Vista. Anne is a leader of her daughter's Girl Scout troop, a board member and Budget Manager for the Oberlin Weekday Hot Meals Program, and an active member of the First Church in Oberlin, United Church of Christ. |
