Role
with WIRE-Net
Erica
joined WIRE-Net in June 2006 and is the Job Placement &
Retention Coordinator with WIRE-Net's WorkSource Program. This
program is currently being reengineered to not only focus on quality
placements but also concentrate highly on stabilizing employee
retention. She will be working in conjunction with VP of Workforce
Development Rebecca Kusner's upcoming workforce innovation
strategies to expand departmental services and benefits.
Background
Erica
came from a national non-profit organization in the Cleveland
community working in collaboration with the county. She worked on
identifying psychological, substance abuse, domestic violence,
environmental, and all other barriers to employment for the county's
Ohio Works First Program. In addition to identifying barriers prior
to employment, linking customers to supportive services and
resources in the community was crucial for successful job placement
and retention.
In
addition to her experience in social service she is also well-versed
in membership consulting in the for-profit sector. She will be
continuing her education to complete her master's in Human Resource
Management and Labor Relations to compliment her undergrad in
psychology and professional development courses in Human Resources.
