Role
with WIRE-Net
Matt
is the Manager, Engineering and Industrial Outreach, for WIRE-Net's
Manufacturing Assistance Program through which he works directly
with WIRE-Net member companies, using industry best practices to
improve their performance. An engineer, by profession, his practice
encompasses most aspects of enterprise operation including product
evaluation and testing, environmental health and safety (EHS), and
maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) activities. Matt manages
WIRE-Net's Quality Roundtable programs, which offer peer-to-peer
discussion on wide range of topics including SPC, DOE, and FMEA.
Matt is currently developing a new roundtable program with a focus
on business continuity and emergency preparedness.
Matt has additional responsibilities serving the Cleveland
Industrial Retention Initiative (CIRI) as Manager, Region V. He
works directly with businesses in Wards 17, 18, and19 to identify
and resolve problems and concerns that are barriers to business
growth. These activities range from providing help with
infrastructure improvements and city services, to assistance with
internal operations, facility modernization, process improvement,
and access to capital and expansion planning resources.
Background
Matt received his BSME from The University of Akron and, prior to
joining WIRE-Net, held positions in manufacturing, mining, and
construction. His professional experience includes product
evaluation and testing, metrology, quality management systems,
EH&S compliance and training, facility operation, maintenance
and modernization, as well as, business continuity and emergency
preparedness.
