Role with WIRE-Net

Rebecca joined WIRE-Net in 2005 to oversee the Workforce Development department. The department's programs include WIRE-Net's School-to-Career program, WorkSource placement program, and a variety of adult training initiatives. As staff liaison for the Employment & Training Committee Rebecca will be working with member employers to ensure that any workforce related needs are addressed.

Background

Rebecca has held a variety of workforce related positions in the private and non-profit sectors. Her experience includes employee training & development; sales & marketing program development; recruitment, placement, and management of flexible staff; job search preparation and placement for injured workers; and development of cost saving early intervention programs for occupational & non-occupational injuries/illness. Rebecca earned her MPA and Certificate in Economic Development from Cleveland State University where she focused on the importance of ‘soft-skills’ training to workforce development. Most recently Rebecca has been named a Fellow with the Sector Skills Academy and will be bringing strategies for sector based workforce development back to WIRE-Net and Northeast Ohio.
